ASSESSMENT FOR FY 2025-26

Assessment Levels for Fiscal Year 2025-26

At a public meeting held on August 13, 2025, the District’s Board of Directors levied the assessment for the 2025-26 fiscal year for irrigated and non-irrigated lands.  The current Assessment values are:

​

  • Irrigated Land - $35.00 per acre

  • Non-Irrigated Land - $0.11 per acre

  • Residences - $7.50 per residence

​

On August 13, 2025, an assessment levied by the Shandon-San Juan Water District for FY 2025-26 became due and payable.  The District is requesting payment by November 13, 2025.   The assessment will be delinquent if not paid by February 13, 2026.

The funds raised by these assessments enable us to represent your interests in the coming years as the Groundwater Sustainability Plan is implemented.  If you have any questions please, contact us.

ABOUT THE DISTRICT

The Shandon-San Juan Water District, located in San Luis Obispo County, consists of approximately 108,500 acres.  It was formed effective May 22, 2017.

YES - 100%

A special election was held on April 11, 2017.  100% of landowners within the boundaries voted in favor of forming the District. See results.

The District received the Certificate of Completion from the Local Agency Formation Commission on May 22, 2017. View the full report. 

The maps were derived from a composite of information adjusted to overlay the GIS shapefile of the Public Land Survey System.  View maps.
