GROUNDWATER SUSTAINABILITY PLAN

AMENDED PASO ROBLES SUBBASIN GSP 
DWR PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD OPEN UNTIL SEPTEMBER 19, 2022

The Shandon-San Juan Groundwater Sustainability Agency worked collaboratively with the City of Paso Robles GSA, the Paso Basin-SLO County GSA, and the San Miguel Community Services District GSA to revise the GSP to address deficiencies identified by the Department of Water Resources.  The revised GSP was adopted by the SSJGSA at a public hearing held on June 22, 2022 and submitted to the Department of Water Resources.  The 60-day comment period is now open.  Send comments to DWR via their portal:  https://sgma.water.ca.gov/portal/gsp/preview/35

PASO BASIN COOPERATIVE COMMITTEE (PBCC)

CREATING ONE GSP

The GSA's listed below joined together to form the Paso Basin Cooperative Committee (PBCC) with the purpose of leading the development of one GSP for the portion of the Paso Robles Basin in San Luis Obispo County.

  • Shandon-San Juan Water District

  • County of San Luis Obispo

  • San Miguel CSD

  • City of Paso Robles

The Cooperative Committee meets regularly to progress GSP activities. Cooperative Committee meetings are open to the public. Parties interested in the management of groundwater in the Paso Robles Basin are encouraged to attend.
